The US sent both Mixed Teams to the finals today in Guadalajara during the 12th Continental Championship of the Americas, with one bringing home the Gold.
The first ever Mixed Team Trap event at the CAT Games took place today in Guadalajara, with both US teams making it to the finals. Joining them would be both teams from Guatemala, the Mexico #1 team, and the Brazilian team.
The USA1 team of Glenn Eller and Aeriel Skinner entered the finals in 4th position with a score of 140. The USA2 team of Grayson Davey and Ashley Carrol would find themselves in 2nd position with a score of 143, just two targets behind the #1 qualifier, Guatemala #2, made up of Jean Pierre Brol Cardenas and Adriana Ruano Oliva. This was Grayson’s first trip to the finals at this CAT Games, whereas Glenn, Aeriel, and Ashley all made the finals in the individual event (Grayson was 1 target short).
Also in the finals were the MEX1 team of Jorge Orozco and Alejandra Ramierz, The GUA1 team of Enrique Brol and Ana Waleska Soto Abril, and the BRA team of Fernando Mello and Janice Teixeira.
After 50 targets, a clear winner emerged in the USA2 team of Grayson Davey and Ashley Carrol with a score of 46 over 2nd place Mexico with a score of 42. Bringing home the Bronze was the Guatemala #2 team. USA1 would end up in 4th place.

This wraps up the trap events at this year’s CAT games. Skeet kicks off tomorrow with un-official training, followed by official training on Thursday and competition on Friday and Saturday.
